... Red with Love

Today I write with my beautiful pen from the fountain of love… or how does that line go again? Hmmm… anyways it’s the season of love once more, when some are extremely excited and wondering what their loved ones would give them or where they would be taken too while others see as just another day or please let it never come.
Valentine, some people call it ‘the legal season of love’. I don’t think that day should only be celebrated by lovers. I believe we should always appreciate what we have, who we have and where we are; this should be the true meaning of valentine.
Well it’s the time to have that little touch of red for some or go all out red.  There are different ways to put in that little touch of red this season and not making turn out as a disaster.
Here are some looks for this season:

ADIRE!!!

ADIRE! ADIRE!! ADIRE!!!
It means 'tie & dye'. It was first applied to indigo-dyed cloth, this is usually done by people in south western Nigeria (Abeokuta and Ibadan), and this practice is also done in Mali. Some people call it the 'vintage textile'. It is done to come out in various colours, patterns and designs.

Adire took the center stage a while back especially among lovers of traditional wear but gradually faded out in the mid 90's. Adire has now come back to light because now we can afford to sew whatever we want and are not restricted at all, this is what gives us joy, *no restriction*.

Adire has also been seen as an accessory in the home and in the wardrobe like; pillow cases, hand bag, purses and even for gadgets such as the Ipad.

Well, I was able to sew a skirt with my Adire adding another touch of vintage to my wardrobe.
Here it is...

Thank You so much.
